Frax Laser Resurfacing Therapy
Frax laser is a non-invasive, resurfacing therapy designed to create controlled micro-damage to your skin, stimulating the growth of new collagen and elastin. Frax resurfacing is great for scars, wrinkles, fine lines, smoothing pores and overall skin texture improvement, combined with IPL it is called “Light and Bright” and gives beautiful results. This fractional laser fades brown spots, pigmentation, discoloration, freckles, and sunspots, and revitalizes your entire skin tone and texture on the face, neck, chest, or arms. Using a non-ablative approach, Frax laser targets only a fraction of the skin at a time, leaving the surrounding skin untouched. This technique allows for quicker healing while delivering the same remarkable results as traditional non-fractional lasers.
Yag Laser Vascular Treatment
Yag laser energy is selectively absorbed by the deeper levels of the dermis and allows for treatment of deeper vascular lesions such as:
- Leg vessels
- Benign vascular lesions
- Spider veins
- Vascular birthmark (capillary vascular malformation)
- Facial veins (telangiectasia)
- Haemangioma (a vascular tumour)
- Port wine stains
- Venous lakes
- Clear nail (Onychomycosis) Toenail Fungus. Infrared laser treatment is used to kill bacteria, isolating and attacking the fungi, in so reducing further spreading and reinfection.
- Benign cutaneous lesions, such as warts -the laser is fired in a series of pulses that target and destroy the fine blood vessels in the dermis that feed the wart
Laser hair removal
Laser hair removal- Laser hair removal is a procedure that uses a laser, or a concentrated beam of light, to get rid of or reduce the appearance and texture of hair in different areas of the body. Laser hair removal is one of the most commonly done cosmetic procedures in the U.S. It beams highly concentrated light into hair follicles, pigment in the follicles absorb the light, this destroys the hair. It is common to need at least 6 treatments to achieve optimal results.
You should avoid sun exposure for 6 weeks before and after treatment. Sun exposure makes laser hair removal less effective and makes complications after treatment more likely.
Avoid taking any blood-thinning medications before the procedure. Talk to your doctor about which medications to stop if you’re on any anti-inflammatories or regularly take aspirin.
Don’t use any sunless creams to darken your skin. It’s important that your skin is as light as possible for the procedure.
Should you shave for laser hair removal? You should shave or trim the day before your procedure.
What happens if you don’t shave before laser hair removal? If your hair is too long, the procedure will not work as effectively, and your hair and skin will get burned.
